Low Testosterone
For many men Low Testosterone is a reality; for many men not only is it a reality but it's a problem. Men the world over suffer from Low Testosterone and often they do not even realize; many times the process can be so gradual that as the slight changes add up over time by the time you do notice the ill-effects have already set in and made a permanent home. The long and short is a very simple matter; as functioning human beings we need testosterone; as men we need far higher levels than women. As we age our natural testosterone production declines, the older we get the less testosterone we produce. There are some men who will experience a rapid decline earlier than others; there are men who for a host of reasons in their early 20's may experience a problem but for most of us by the time we reach the age of 30 our levels dip down and once we hit 40 and on they start crashing down more and more every single year.

A Natural Part of Life:
While it is true, just as growing older is the natural order so is declining levels of testosterone. Even so, it doesn't have to be this way, you do not have to shrug your shoulders and say "I have Low Testosterone, oh well." There are many healthy options you have, in-fact, getting your testosterone levels back to a normal range is far more healthy for you than allowing them to sit at their current low state; this will make more sense as we go along.
Symptoms of Low Testosterone:
It's common sense, we age, we slow down and as true as this may be it does not have to be to the extent that is often excepted, far from it. Many times the severity of these symptoms can be largely attributed to low levels of testosterone and if we can treat our Low Testosterone and we can, we will see these symptoms fade away. If you suffer from any of the following you may indeed have Low Testosterone levels, they include and are not limited to:
- Decreased Libido/Decreased Sexual Desire
- Difficulty Maintaining an Erection
- Decreased Levels of Energy (Grogginess, a General Tired Feeling)
- Loss of Muscle Tissue
- Increased Levels of Body Fat
- Decreases in Strength
All of the above symptoms are strong indicators of Low Testosterone; in-fact if you fit the bill for the first one on the list coupled with any other on the list you can pretty well guarantee your levels are low.
Treatment & Cure:
We need to be very clear; there is no cure for Low Testosterone, once your levels are low they will always remain naturally low; however, we can treat it, we simply can't cure it. Once you undergo treatment you will need to continue some sort of therapy throughout your life if you desire to keep your testosterone levels normal. It sounds like a giant pain but ask yourself this question; would you rather have to continually treat the problem or live with Low Testosterone? The answer should be obvious, especially since treatment is one of the simplest things in the world. In almost all cases you will need to see your family physician or an endocrinologist (hormone doctor) but an increasing and very popular method is going to a Hormone Replacement Clinic or sometimes called a Rejuvenation Clinic (less commonly called a Wellness-Clinic.)These clinics specialize in Low Testosterone treatment, they are experts in the field and in many cases will be your absolute best resource. There's nothing wrong with going to your family physician but understand more than likely this is not something he will be nearly as experienced with and in most cases (although he'll never admit it) he'll know only a little more than you.
Treatment Options:
There are several options you have in order to treat your Low Testosterone. In the end, all will be pure synthetic testosterone but the method of application as well as potency and efficiency is largely the biggest differences. The options will generally include:
- Testosterone Injections
- Transdermal Testosterone Creams (Androgel)
- Transdermal Testosterone Patches (Androderm)
Testosterone injections will always be the most efficient of the three common options and will guarantee your low levels are no more. However, many men prefer either of the transdermal options; the cream being somewhat stronger than the patch. Even so, some men, quite a few actually, will notice irritation or even burning of the skin where the medication is applied; there is no & side-effect to injectable testosterone and if any transdermal application causes this in you, an injection is going to be your only suitable option to treat your Low Testosterone.
The Bottom Line:
For many of you treatment for your Low Testosterone is long overdue but there is good news; it doesn't matter how old you are or how low your levels have dropped, solid testosterone therapy will improve your life and dramatically so. An increased libido or even a functioning libido, a healthier physique, increased energy and a general increased sense of well-being can all be achieved; not only achieved but in essence providing a healthier you. Men who suffer from Low Testosterone and undergo treatment not only improve these areas of their lives but improve the quality of their life overall as well; with that in mind why would anyone not seek out treatment when Low Testosterone levels can so easily and readily be remedied?
